EPL Event 1

Today has been a long one.

So we went out for drinks last night at a very odd bar. If you want details, do ask me. But, this led to me waking up and not bing to get back to sleep this morning at around 4am. We got to the field and started unloading around 6am and the weather today was awful. Cold and rainy all damn day. With that being said, we still came out swinging. We went 4-0 in the prelim matches and fought our way to the finals. We ended up winning the event, the first time in Widow Makers history. I have never been happier with where I am in my paintball career. We have such a great team who have become my second family. The second squad also played pretty well for their first tournament together and I have great faith that they will get to gelling much better come next event. We have seen what we are capable of  doing and we are anxious to keep pushing, keep practice, and keep doing what we are best at. I will reflect on the event later on in the week, but for now, I am so tired haha. This year is going to be something special but also a lot of work.

Almost Time

Hey friends!

So it is just a few days before the first EPL event. We had our last grind yesterday and we are looking strong! We are def coming out swinging this year and are anxious to see how the teams comes together.  We are going to be running two D5 squads for the first event due to Justin not being able to play which leaves me as the only D4 player on the squad. We got the new jerseys in and they look great. I will bee adding video of the event next week as usual so look forward to that. With the new gun, the new jersey, and the new team, we are sure to have a killer year and its all about to start.

Grinds, grinds, grinds...

Hello paintball people,

So the luxe is gone. It decided to blow up on me. But I was able to trade it to the shop for a DM13. Yes, I have gone back to being a Dye guy. So with the first EPL event coming up at the end of March, we have been grinding every other Sunday for the past two months. We have completed our risers and have 16 players for Widow Makers. We have been coming along as an organization and a team and are anxious to dominate the field. We have been working on who is playing where, communication, and other various things that teams do in order to be successful. With the new jerseys being sent out soon, we will finally look like a legit team with everyone wearing the same damn jersey for once haha. We are gonna have to come out strong in the first event because with playing a higher division comes stronger competition. Many of the teams are already looking at us with hungry eyes as they saw out rise from last place at the end of the past season. But we are more than able to come out and pack a punch. That's all I got for now and will post photos when more come in.

Remember, it is hard to beat someone who doesn't quit.

Recent Activity

So the off season is still passing by ever so slowly but there is light at the end of the tunnel. The EPL finally released their dates for the 2014 season. The best part about this is finding out that all of the events will be held at CSP. This makes traveling costs so much less than it would be. Of course, East Coast Cup will still be in Maryland but that's no biggie. We are getting close to completing the recruitment for the D5 squad. we have about 6 players so far but I would like to find at least two more to roster. We had try-outs yesterday but only one player came out and he had come out before so it wasn't anyone new. The practice end of it was terrible yesterday due to the amount of cheating players and terrible refs. We all have those days I guess. One bad day isn't going to linger over me and keep me from obtaining my goals. I did however, get the money in for my new jersey so I will get pics of that up when it comes in. We have a set schedule for practices now so I can plan on getting new videos and pics up on here.

One cool thing that is in the works is maybe working for a paintball company from home. This would be a great way for me to make some extra cash while also expanding the ol' resumé. So when I know more about that i will be sure to post.

On a personal note, I was in New Orleans last weekend for the reveal party for my brother and sister-in-law to find out the gender of their baby. It is a boy so I am getting a nephew! I am very excited about this and can't wait to get this lil guy on the paintball field, yes this is going to happen.

The ice of the off season is thawing and with that will come more posts. It has just been so crazy this past month but hopefully things will settle down enough for me to be able to post more frequently. Until then my friends, remember, never keep focus on the troubles we face, there is just too much cool shit in life to take it's place.

New Beginnings

Hey friends,

So many things have happened since my last post. Let me break it all down for ya.

First off, I have a new gun for the 2014 season. It's a Luxe 1.5 with all 2.0 internals, and this gun is so sick and smooth. I love it.

Next, I finally graduated college. After 4.5 years, I can call myself an Alumni of Virginia Intermont College with my BA in Business Administration. I didn't walk yet but I will in May. How ever I did receive my diploma in the mail yesterday which was surprising because it wasn't supposed to come for another 5 weeks. So that was pretty cool.

Today, I had practice at CSP. We had a few of our new players for the D5 squad come out and a few new ones looking to join up. We will have an official tryout in January, so it will be fun to see who comes out and who can make the squad. I will be headed up the D5 squad but play on the D4. Waiting Game

Hey friends,

I know it has been a while, but mostly cause not much is going on. Still working on getting my new gun, however, sales are being super slow so it is taking longer than expected. We are having tryouts for our D5 square for next season on Saturday down at CSP. That will give me more to post about. I am currently working on getting everything ready in order to graduate in two weeks so I have been super busy with that. I am also thinking about maybe starting to use this Twitter thing I keep hear about.

The times, they are a'changin

Hey Fans,

So things have been changing pretty quickly lately. The DM is sold and gone. I plan on selling a bunch of stuff and then buying a top level gun, preferably a Luxe. We are planning on adding a D5 squad to the organization. So I will be helping with the try outs and bring to find the best people to be a part of our team. this has all happened in the past week. I don't have much to really report just yet, just trying to get ready for the next season. I may be playing for two teams for 2014. I plan on trying out for Richmond Rage D4 squad and play PSP events. That won't be until January so we will see how that goes. Until then, I am just working on getting a new gun and being ready for the upcoming challenges. I will try and be better about posting when things happen.

Thank you to everyone who has been supporting me and following the blog. I came into this thinking that people may not care of laugh at the idea so I didn't release it until I had about 10 posts and since then, this has grown quickly. So I hope y'all have enjoyed my story so far and I promise to keep telling it.
